The Global Fund is a worldwide partnership to defeat HIV, tuberculosis and malaria. We raise and invest more than US$5 billion a year to fight deadly infectious diseases, challenge the injustice that fuels them, and strengthen health systems and pandemic preparedness in more than 100 of the hardest-hit countries. Since 2002, our partnership has saved 59 million lives.

Our translation service plays a pivotal role to provide implementing countries with adequate multilingual supporting documentation throughout the funding application and grant management processes, while supporting fundraising efforts with donor countries and the private sector. We work in a variety of languages, and English, French and Spanish are our largest portfolios.

Our team must play a balancing act, producing high-quality material to fuel the fundraising campaigns and precise technical documents to provide guidance to program implementers in a plain and clear language easily understandable everywhere. We also translate thousands of pages of funding requests in very short timelines to support the funding allocation process in a timely manner.

This session will give an overview of the flexible approach adopted by our team to manage these various needs and nurture a culture of innovation, leveraging AI to speed up critical processes.
