Amy Catling is a senior localisation manager with 5 years experience in localisation, and was chosen a Rising Star of the localisation industry at LocWorld49. She currently leads a team at the language learning app, Busuu, and volunteers as the sponsorship manager for Women in Localization UK. She’s certified in proofreading and UX writing, and has an MA in linguistics. Amy’s past work includes being a researcher for an African linguistics department in the Netherlands, and as a content manager in the UK. She speaks Chinese, and briefly lived and worked in Shanghai.
