Two days of learning, sharing, and networking, for people who create and manage global websites and eCommerce.

A 24/7 global web presence brings unique challenges. The public nature of global sites demands high accuracy and their immediacy requires updates at dizzying speeds. All of that can be had -- at a price. Costs of maintaining a high level of performance can be significant. Companies are looking to develop good global web sites and eCommerce practices to meet their needs, without prohibitive costs.

Are there people who have figured out all there is to know about how to do this? Not really. This is new territory with few established best practices.

This conference will bring together global websites managers from a broad spectrum of industries, including IT, Travel, Financial Services, Publishing, and others, for an opportunity to discuss recent developments, strategies, and tools and to exchange information about how to efficiently manage global websites and eCommerce.

Webmasters and localization managers at Cisco, Macromedia, Oracle, Sun, and other companies have helped The Localization Institute to develop a conference that will benefit you - whether your global presence is a web site providing basic product and distribution information in 3-4 languages, or one with comprehensive, in-depth product information, interactive customer service, and ordering and fulfillment, in 20 or more languages.

This two-day event will consist of sessions that take place in variety of formats including panels, discussion groups, and presentations by practitioners.

There will be an exhibit area with vendors offering tools and services during the conference.

The Localization Institute reserves the right to cancel the conference at anytime without prior notice. Registrants will be notified promptly and their registration fee will be refunded in full. Liability of The Localization Institute is limited to a refund of the registration fee.
