Localization Project Management Online Training
This online training course consists of recorded presentations and reading assignments. You have up to 12 weeks to complete the training. As a R.E.P. (Registered Education Provider), The Localization Institute has been approved by the Project Management Institute (PMI) to issue 12.5 professional development units (PDUs) for this course. You can use the hours spent on the Localization Project Management Online Training program as PDUs if you are a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® , or use the hours as credits if you applying to be a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®.
The methodology used in this certification program is based on the internationally recognized project management standard “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)”, Fifth Edition by the Project Management Institute, with adaptations for the localization industry – latest program updates were completed February 2016.
The 12 hours of recorded presentations are stored on a cloud based Learning Management system (Litmos) and can be streamed for easy viewing with a browser. Topics include: Global Readiness/Localization Maturity, The PMI and Localization, Technology Trends, Global Communication, Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution/Monitoring and Project Closure. The videos are interspersed with quizzes to confirm your understanding of the material presented. Litmos also includes a feedback mechanism to ask questions and share answers.
